Aki Choklat, a globally recognized designer, educator, and author, anchors this experience. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London and the Chair of Fashion Design at the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit, Choklat embodies the fusion of tradition and future-forward design thinking. Alongside Tom Carbone, a master artisan in accessories, the program delivers an unparalleled approach to materiality, form and purpose.

Begin your journey at the historic Hotel degli Orafi, where a welcome rooftop aperitivo sets the tone. Engage in research-driven lectures, hands-on explorations in Florence’s design quarters, and an immersive residency at the Ormanni Winery Retreat. Here ideas materialize through deep engagement with materials, from leather to sustainable fibers. Midway through, pause for a coastal interlude because reflection is as vital as creation. The retreat culminates in a showcase of work, a moment to celebrate new insights and new creative directions.

Investment & Registration The program fee starts at $8,995 USD, inclusive of accommodations, workshops, cultural excursions, and select meals.
