Stasha Chimbur, an artist of accessory, lives and works between Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Zagreb, Croatia.
Stasha creates hats and headgear, bags and receptacles, parasols, scarves, printed fabrics, wearable objects as well as sculptures and assemblage using a wide variety of materials and techniques.
She has exhibited her work at over 100 exhibitions, performances and fashion shows, both independent and group, in museums, galleries and cultural centres in the Netherlands, Croatia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Serbia, Israel and the USA. Her work has been commissioned by museums, galleries and institutions as well as many private collectors.
Her education: The Art of making Stained Glass (Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam) and Hat Master Craftsman at Institute of Welding/Clothes and Textile Design at Faculty of Textile Technology/Department of Interior Architecture at School of Applied Arts (Zagreb, Croatia)
Stasha lectured on the skills of millinery and hat-making at The Royal Academy of Fine and Applied Arts in The Hague and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
