Multi-coloured mosaic calf leather platform shoes, 2025.
The base of these shoes is called a lining shoe. This is where all the parts are first built, like the insole, shank, lining, heel counter, toe puff, platform and heel. Only after this are the patterns for the upper leather made. You can see this process in the photos.
With complex patterns like these, it’s very important that the left and right lining shoes are mirrored versions of each other. This way, the same patterns can be used for both sides. Each leather piece fits exactly next to the other. The edges of each piece are trimmed down a few millimeters to make space for thin dark grey leather strips. These strips are placed between the parts and connect them together.
