Shulli Goitein

The story of Shulli Design is many years in the making, starting with the gift of a full silversmith tool kit from Grandpa Dave when she was 12 years old. She immediately took to the craft of jewelry making, creating her own collections and selling them at local cafes in Jerusalem, Israel.

In the years that followed she continued to create, even helping to establish the first arts and crafts fair in Tel Aviv in the time off from the mandatory military service. She ended up studying jewelry design at Bezalel design academy in Israel and completed the program with honors. A shoe design course caused an unexpected turn in the predetermined path and she fell in love!

An Italian two years adventure followed, a study with the masters including Gucci and Ferragamo. This was the start of a career as a shoe designer working all over the world in the industy: Keds, Boston, Cole Haan, NY and finally back in Israel as senior designer for Naot Footwear.

After 16 years in the biz, Goitein decided to start studio ‘ShulliDesign’, where she worked out own innovative techniques and use her imagination to its fullest. Two passions jewelry design and leather-work melted together.

Goitein:’I only use the highest quality Italian leather and am focused on distilling the essence of elegance and fine craftsmanship. I put the utmost emphasis on out-of-the-box thinking and innovation, with the ultimate goal of striking originality’.
