Inspired by the Lionfish’s deceptive camouflage, these shoes are a metaphorical statement of the damage the Lionfish and humans cause to the coral reef. We are trampling down the coral reef through local and global resources and the Lionfish is contributing to this major problem. Being a threat to the underwater ecosystem and taking over the coral reefs and fish populations, makes this fish more deadly than ever.
Material: Lionfish fins in combination with salmon leather, with a casted sculptural heel.
