Handmade shoes for performative element for aerial acrobatics, 2022.
These shoes can be used for walking and when attached to a rope they can be hung in the air when the whole body is loose and the feet are bound. They controle the movement of the legs whenthey are fixed to a certain point of the rope. The design shows the axis between suffering and devotion, movement and release. Through the shoes the user discovers new movements due to the fact of being bound in a specific area of the body. Model: Maya Kaplan.
