This project originates from the reading of Notes on Camp by Susan Sontag, understanding camp not as a superficial style, but as a sensibility that embraces excess, theatricality, and artifice. My intention was to translate this attitude into footwear design—not as an applied aesthetic, but as a language.
Within this process, the work pays tribute to Elsa Schiaparelli as a fundamental reference: her ability to incorporate the absurd, the surreal, and the decorative as forms of provocation, without losing elegance, guides an approach that celebrates artifice. At the same time, Miguel Adrover brings a contemporary perspective in which the recycled, the political, and the intimate intertwine, reclaiming precariousness as a form of resistance, as seen in his glove shoes.
