High heeled suede and patent leather pastel ankle strap sandal adorned with a peace sign, 2015.

The peace sign is made by raising the index and middle fingers to form a ‘V’ while holding the other fingers down against the palm. While widely recognised as a symbol of peace and harmony, it originated during World War II as a ‘V for Victory’ sign. It is also used to mean ‘peace out’ or goodbye.
