Handmade boots crafted from hair-on cowhide, with a side-button closure featuring amber stones and cut-out wooden wedge heels, 2026.

This boot is called Ausra, meaning dawn. The amber stones glow like the first rays of morning sun. I wanted to capture a raw, unpolished feeling, because in ancient times shoes were not fashion objects in the way we understand them today. I imagined the boot as something that could almost have been made then, even though the high heel makes it completely ahistorical.
