Suede and leather open shaft western-motif boots by Carla Apostol, 2021.

Inspired by nature and celebrating craftsmanship that pushes the boundaries of local artisanship in the Philippines, these boots highlight refined attention to detail and a well-researched juxtaposition of finishes and locally sourced materials.

Materials: The upper features a combination of black smooth calf leather, white croc-embossed leather, and mahogany suede depicting volcanic rocks, ice and snow, and wood, respectively paired with monochromatic snakeskin. A contrasting flair is introduced through an angled, exaggerated outsole and a geometric block heel.
The shoes are accented with antique brass hardware roughly cut raw amethyst and freshwater pearls.
