Boot inspired by A-Ri-Rang, a genre of Korean traditional music, 2020.
A-Ri-Rang is symbolic and representative music of the Korean people. To express this music, I designed it using the curve of the melody of the music. All the lines, shapes, and colours used are all from traditional Korean designs and spirit. The strap that ties the calf part was inspired by the way to tie traditional Korean costume hanbok (especially, Jeogori), not from the ordinary ribbon. The overall silhouette of the boot was inspired by traditional socks.
