Inspired by the splendor of the cult of the Virgin Mary I designed a collection of shoes (2012) that leads on to a renaissance of extravagance and luxury. By converting visual elements of this cult into a new aesthetic, I came to a contemporary translation of abundance. Design, to me, is a form of artistic expression whereby I wont do any concessions in relation to wearability. My shoes are meant as a source of inspiration comparable to Haute Couture’s influence on fashion.
