Susana Madrid, young fashion designer born in the United States and raised in Colombia surrounded by color, family, tropical dreams and an optimistic atmosphere. Italian by heart, fell in love with the wonderful “made in Italy” concept and the country’s millenary heritage during her graduate fashion design studies and work as a footwear designer in Milano.

At the age of 18 she started her four-year Fashion Design studies at Columbus College of Art and Design. Long nights were all worth it when she got to see the clothes that not only she imagined, but also created herself for her Senior Fashion Show in 2010. After graduating she started working as a denim designer at Abercrombie & Fitch, where she learnt the value of working as a team, the importance of knowing the customers and being able to transform challenges into opportunities and creative solutions that reflect the brand values. After five years of learning and growing, she decided to take on a new adventure she had always dreamt of: Europe.

Pursuing her Master’s degree at Istituto Marangoni and an accessories program, her vision grew even farther. Those years in Milano changed her life. Having the opportunity to interact with prominent fashion houses and well-known high-end designers, and living the Italian « Dolce Vita » in full, gave her the ultimate boost to realize what she really wanted to do: create her own brand in the country of the finest artisans and shoemakers.

Respecting the centuries-old Italian craftsmanship, using top-quality materials, and ethical production processes, the plan became all about channeling the power of design to create empowering and sustainable journeys for the wearers, the artisans, the community, and the planet, always helping those in need along the way.

Susana is constantly seeking ways to innovate, enhance people’s personality and inspire others through her beautiful and unique designs—all of which are a recollection and an extension of emotions felt, memories never forgotten, profound feelings and never-ending dreams. Her creations go beyond aesthetics; they invite us to value impeccable craftsmanship, attention to detail and the magic that lives within each piece that is created not only with passion but also in a respectful and responsible way.
