Dyip Heels

Neil & Marter

Shoes inspired by it’s namesake public mode of transportation, the Philippine Jeepney or as Filipinos call it ‘Dyip’, 2020.

The prominent colors are based on the colors of the Philippine flag symbolizing equality, peace, justice and valor. The visible elements we can see and feel from a traditional Jeepney are its comfortable seating that can be felt from the shoes’ cushiony and soft to touch almost plush-like. The wheels covered in lamb skin, the detachable fenders, the seatbelt-inspired shoe straps and a machine inside the heels that allows the small wheels to move.

Materials: mixed usage of fabrics, cowhide leathers and lamb skin, heels based on a rubber platform base with Tamiya Motors inside.
