Nat-2, the high end sneaker brand from Munich in Germany, is teaming with Jaden & Will Smith’s summer blockbuster After Earth for a very limited sneaker collection, which is futuristic as the world brought to us in the film.
Paying tribute to the DVD release of the visually spectacular film, After Earth, four matching versions of the nat-2 classic Cube are being launched in an exclusive capsule collection.
The high top sneakers for girls and guys are strictly limited edition and available exclusively at the international online store of Munich’s finest concept shoe store Coilex- coilex.com, as well as Javari.de.
Each model has unique features. The colourway Polka Dots comes in a lenticular 3D surface that mimics leopard spots. The Dots Metallic Version reminds one of a landed spaceship that shoots lasers into the dark woods. Cube 3 Pearl Metallic reminds of the reflecting surface of a lake on the moon and colourway Volcano recalls not only the fiery mountain, but also of Jaden’s life suit in the movie.
All models feature a mountaineer inspired hiking lace system, as well as reflecting shoe tongues, soft cushioned lining and photo print collectors nat-2 x After Earth shoebox.
If you intend to grab a pair better hurry as the sneakers come in limited numbers of 30, 30, 33 and 66, a total of 159 pairs for all 4 colourways together, of which only 100 pairs go into retail. The rest have been manufactured for the Smith family, other VIPs and reserved for a shoe museum. True collector’s items.
The movie After Earth plays one thousand years in the future. After mankind was forced to leave the Earth, has become a new home of the former inhabitants of the Earth, the planet Nova Prime. One of the leaders is Raige Cypher (Will Smith). When he flies a day with his son Kitai (Jaden Smith) from a mission back to Nova Prime, they get into an asteroid storm that forces them to make an emergency landing on Earth. And the earth has changed over the last one thousand years. The adventure begins.
