Naomi Filmer is a contemporary jewellery designer, who describes her work as ‘wearable objects about the body’ rather than jewellery. After studying 3D Design, she completed a master’s degree in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery at the Royal College of Art, London. She acquired a reputation in the 1990s for catwalk collaborations with high profile British designers such as Hussein Chalayan, Shelley Fox and Alexander McQueen.
Filmer works as a Research Fellow at Central Saint Martins School of Art, London, she lectures in art schools throughout Europe, and is a freelance designer.
