Dutch orthopedic shoemaker and designer and founder of deschoenwerkplaats, with this online platform we want to bring makers and clients from the shoe industry together in a fair and simple way. It originated from a dream about equal opportunities for all shoemakers so that we can put the Netherlands back on the map in this area.
Hillegers: ‘I can fully put my passion for shoes, craftsmanship and design into the orthopedic branch of shoemaking. I think it is important to manufacture a product where I can help people with a different size. I want to keep developing myself and translate my passion for beautiful footwear into a pair of orthopedic shoes. With this I hope to contribute to the wearing comfort of the shoes and the mobility of the customer.’
