Footwear designer Milou Boerboom is currently graduating from the BA Product Design ArtEZ in the Netherlands (2025). During her studies, she discovered her passion for footwear design.
Her work revolves around exploring new construction methods within footwear. By merging traditional shoe making and fashion design construction techniques and the unconventional materials it brings, she pushes the boundaries of shoemaking. For her, designing and making go hand in hand, with hands-on experimentation playing a crucial role in her creative process. Through an appreciation for materials and traditional techniques, she strives to redefine contemporary footwear design.
