Dutch designer Michelle Ponsteen lives and works in Arnhem, The Netherlands. She graduated in product design at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts 2018.
As a designer, I make my own inspiration material. I transform recognizable everyday things and forms into an unrecognizable patterned layering. By enlarging details, mirroring, repetitive, making your own prints and patterns is an infinite process. By making use of self-made prints on stretchable materials, there is a deformation of the pattern. As a designer, I am fascinated by how these patterns can accentuate volumes or create visual confusion. I stand for a colour explosion and a fullness in my designs.
