Part of the SAMSARA collection, an Bauhaus interpretation of Hindu Samsara (the cycle of death and rebirth)scenes. Religious scenes pictured by arm and leg movements, heads, animals and hands have been enlarged, abstracted, repeated and transformed into a fixed yet dynamic design.
Browaeys : ‘I used the technique of the inlay/marquetry. I like to start from many different influences and combine them into an abstract design. Each design in this collection combines graphic lines with 3D elements and frills, processed in different ways or colors. The architectural heel is laser cut from plywood and covered with leather.
