Madam Marie makes footwear that is made to measure and tailored to the wishes of the wearer. She seeks out projects that are challenging and interesting. Working as a footwear designer she missed the crafts. As an orthopedic footwear technologist she missed the creative side of things.
Now, as head of the shoemaking department of the Royal Opera ‘La Monnaie/De Munt’ she seems to have found the perfect symbiose. On the side she still branches out into small creative projects that are realised, after hours, in a very small workshop in Rotselaar, Belgium. She is always up for exciting projects.
