Luc Aarts

Footwear designer Luc Aarts cultivated his love for shoe design as a teenager. In 2015 he graduated from the prestigious ArtEZ college in Arnhem with a mission and immediately launched his own eponymous brand. Additionally, Aarts develops footwear collections for fashion brands such as Maison the Faux and Sjaak Hullekes as well as Camper and OAT. His latest collection under his own name features printed leather espadrilles and ‘graffiti brogues’, which combine the classic techniques of English gentleman’s couture with tweed for the upper, spray-painted brogue detailing and heels made of old skateboards.
