Van Staa:’Through my work, I aim to communicate in a complementary way. My objects are born from conversation and movement, and are elaborated in bronze, wood, and other materials, often in combination. These materials reinforce each other and most importantly enhance the expressiveness of the object.
I enjoy working with old utensils and objects that have a story. By playing with and combining other objects a new story is created, bringing them from the junk drawer back into the light.’
