Second year assignment 2012, choose a historical period and create a replica of a historic shoe, then design a collection of 3 pairs of shoes, based on a personal chosen theme, for the Academy of Fine Arts in Sint-Niklaas Belgium (SASK).
Part of the ‘I am the hunter boots’ collection. This collection arised, being inspired by surreal fairytales like Alice in Wonderland in which animals are often used as personificated messagers. The shape of the skulls are Jozefien’s interpretation of the surrealistic/unheimlich side of fairytales.
Material: white polyurethane resin boots with striking external knee joints (made of a skull of a tiger).
