Created for Liza Snook to celebrate 20 years of the Virtual Shoe Museum in 2024, this piece is part of a special collection featuring 20 unique shoe artworks.
Joyce: ‘This Mount Shoe symbolises the successful years that have brought the Virtual Shoe Museum
to this anniversary year 2024. The small gold figure is a climber to the top gilded in 23.5 k
gold leaf, the precious metal for winners. The connections of the rope and yarn are the lines
that Liza lays out and creates for us as a connector. The color blue symbolizes loyalty, reliability, perseverance, surrender, and energy qualities that beautifully reflect Liza’s character.
