Finnish shoe designer Janne Kyttanen started his design studies at the Escola De Disseny, Elisave in Barcelona 1996. He moved to the Netherlands and graduated from The Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. When Janne first saw a 3D printer in the mid 90’s, he immediately saw every object around him in wireframe. During his studies Janne envisioned a future where products would turn into computer data and their distribution would be as easy as downloading music from the internet. Janne’s vision of the impact of 3D printing was so clear that he no longer saw any point in making objects by hand.
Janne’s work has been extensively exhibited and integrated into permanent design collections at leading galleries and museums around the world. Such museum collections include MOMA, FIT, MAD and the Vitra Design Museum.
A pioneer in design with 3D printing, Janne has executed a diversity of design projects for clients such as Hyundai, Asics, Autodesk, Havana Club, Nivea, NIKE, Rabobank, Philips and L’Oreal.
In 2000, Janne founded Freedom of Creation, the expert design company for 3D printing. Janne is also the Creative Director for 3D Systems, the largest 3D Printing company in the world.
