Bauhaus shoe

Hannah Zinger

Two simple wooden rectangles inside which the anatomical shape of a foot has been hollowed out, 2016.

Inspired by the Bauhaus movement which called for dropping out extravagant styling and instead focused on humanity’s simple needs, using a minimalistic, rational, functional design & bare raw materials. The shapes and materials are characteristic of Bauhaus architecture, emphasizing the human at the center of the design. The T- shaped rail connects the parts together and displaces the insole. Materials: wood and metal.
