Like most young girls, I always had a deep love for shoes. However, it wasn’t till I was 17 years old and I started working at Sacha Shoes, that my love for shoes turned into a fascination for shoes. At this moment in my life I thought I wanted to be a fashion designer, and I applied for the fashion design course at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. I got in and during my 5 years of education I continued working at the Sacha. Whilst learning about fashion, designing, trends and art at school, I learned about shoes at work. Over time this combination of influences changed the way I looked at footwear. For me, shoes became much more powerful than clothing and gradually my fascination for shoes turned into a passion for shoes.
