Customize your shoes during the Rotterdam museum night
The Museum night (March 10, 2012) theme ‘taste’ inspired Shoe Club to come up with a pop-up studio, where shoe lovers can have their own boots, shoes or sneakers handpainted. Nothing is as personal as taste, specifically when a pair of hand painted and customized shoes become a piece of art.
Shoe Art in Rotterdam
All shoe types are suitable. It’s recommended to take an extra pair of shoes, because it takes a while for the painted shoes to dry. The pop-up studio is located at the Schiedamsevest and is open during the Rotterdam museum night. Visitors of the Shoe Club shoe shop on the Meent, already can get inspired and get an idea of the style of artist Tymon Ferenc de Laat, where a selection of his customized shoes are exhibited.
Artist Tymon Ferenc de Laat
in 2011 I opened my MeLikePainting ArtGallery/Studio. This is where I work and can hang my paintings in the gallery, ‘art as fresh as it gets’. My main goal right now is to enjoy painting, continue to build on my reputation & be inspired by my every day surroundings to create new collections & paintings. I like to play with art & commercialism. By working with corporate companies & the every day art enthausiast i bring the gap closer. I want to make art more accessible and like to flirt with taboo and contrast. When is it Art and where does it start being a product?
