Liza Snook

Founder of the VirtualShoeMuseum.com
Liza Snook has been collecting everything related to shoes since studying graphic design at the Royal Academy in The Hague in the 1980s. To share this passion, she started the website VirtualShoeMuseum.com together with her partner, Taco Zwaanswijk (Stainless Media), in 2004.
For the past 16 years, Liza has been creating and organising exhibitions on shoes in art and design worldwide, in cooperation with various museums and events. For the Spielzeug Welten Museum Basel in Switzerland, she expanded her focus beyond shoes to include exhibitions on hats, bags and denim.
Since 2008, she has also worked as an image researcher for Workman Publishers in New York. In addition, she serves as a judge for various design schools in the Netherlands and abroad, gives lectures and helps young designers launch their careers.
