Chad Gabrielle Tanutan is a footwear and industrial designer based in Victorias City, the Philippines.
Tanutan: ‘I began designing shoes at 14 and have been dedicated to the craft ever since. I studied design and learned shoemaking in Marikina, the country’s shoe capital. I love creating shoes that inspire and tell stories: my own and those of others. For over five years, I’ve worked in the footwear industry, developing sustainable designs that combine function and style for everyone. I’m passionate about making things by hand and from scratch, bringing each idea to life through craftsmanship and intention. My work celebrates Filipino culture, promotes resilience and strives to make design more inclusive and meaningful.’
