Bebe Kuhr

Bebe Kuhr is a San Francisco Bay area artist with a lifelong passion for art. Earth first artist Bebe brings awareness to earth’s fragile ecosystem. Her work tells a story about the human impact on all living things. Kuhr incorporates some of the oldest known textile techniques including ‘Nålbinding’, also known as knotless knitting. This technique is a laborious process that involves passing the full length of the wire through each loop. An acient technique early used by the Egyptians and Danish Vikings.

Kuhr: ‘As an artist I explore the compelling contrasts between form, essence and abstraction. I thrive on experimenting with different and unconventional materials. My love for fashion and style has drawn me to transform wearables into sculptures.’
