Part of the graduation collection ‘Stratum’ that focuses on boldness, depth, and volume, translating geological and structural mass into grounded, expressive forms. ‘Stratum’ is the spring summer collection for ‘Yaen’, a conceptual footwear brand rooted in architectural thinking. It translates spatial ideas such as rhythm, layering, repetition, and modularity into sculptural, wearable forms. Rather than mimicking buildings, Yaen draws from the emotional and physical experience of space. It considers how light filters through structure, how weight is distributed, and how form can both reveal and conceal. At the heart of Yaen is a study of contrast. Soft and rigid, open and enclosed, translucent and opaque, these opposing qualities create a quiet tension that guides the design process. Each silhouette is shaped with clarity and intent, balancing structure with sensitivity.
