Part of the absurd shoes series ‘Faboulosa’ created in collaboration with the Farfallo studio. This magnetism towards shoes, especially high heels due to their much more suggestive appearance (morphologically speaking, an ‘S’ is not the same as an ‘I’. The ‘S’ is dancing, the other is stiff.) is explored here. In this case, it’s a collage game, not only deconstructing objects but also symbolically removing them from their context or ‘natural habitat’. Hierarchy ceases to exist, and they are remade in absurdity and humor. This suggestion about a symbolic object creates a natural connection between generally adverse concepts or worlds. Therefore in these designs, the high heel, an aesthetic symbol of glamour, is mixed with the world of domestic cleaning something not so fabulous, where the intended meaning lacks existence.
