Rodulfo took inspiration from his childhood for this design, drawing from the former national sport Sipa, to advocate for the importance of active play among the younger generation. The concept incorporates the game’s many variations (such as the rattan ball, rubber pom pom, shuttlecock and lead washer) to highlight the diverse ways it can be played. These elements are creatively reimagined into wearable footwear by partner manufacturer Roweliza. Like the sport that inspired it Sipa promotes gender equality in athletics, as well as the value of social health and overall wellbeing.
