Born in Greece in 1992, Maria studied architecture in Athens for six years and then she studied Design and Footwear in London College of Fashion, awarded with the Cordwainers MA Scholarship. Maria constructs designs that are inspired by architecture and craftsmanship, along with handmade and conceptual footwear.

Bika: ‘What interests me is the architecture of shoe, as a micro-construction which can tell things about the theory of architecture. I study the connections between architecture and footwear, and i see shoes as a place for foot, through human can experience various feelings. Just like architectural spaces!’
